Description

The EP620 timer contains 3 channels of timer/counters. Each channel supports the following modes: (1) Interval Timer Mode, (2) Pulse Generator Mode, (3) Watchdog Timer Mode.

In interval timer mode, the timer generates an interrupt at regular intervals as programmed by the user. In pulse generator mode, the timer generates pulse signals of specific width as programmed . In watchdog timer mode, timer monitors errors in the system and signals watchdog interrupt when the timer expires.

All three operating modes are based on internal counters. The clock used for the counters can be selected from the system clock with divisor 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, or 256, and a counter clock input signal.
